Privacy Policy.

  1. 1.Who we are

Salvo is a clipping tool: it turns long videos and streams into short clips and posts them to the social accounts you connect. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and how to delete it.

  2. 2.What we collect

Account details: your name and email address from Google when you sign in. We never see your Google password.

Your content: videos you upload, and videos you import from a link (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Vimeo or a direct file), which our servers download from that site. Plus everything Salvo makes from them: transcripts, detected moments, clips, edits, captions, thumbnails, voice-overs, generated visuals and renders, and the assets, presets and templates you save.

Connected accounts: when you connect a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X or LinkedIn account, we receive an access token (usually with a refresh token) and basic profile information: account ID, username, display name, avatar and follower count.

Post data: the posts you schedule through Salvo, their captions and settings, their status and links, and the view, like, comment and share counts the platform reports for them. For posts you publish yourself and mark as posted, we may read their public view counts from the post link.

Competitors: the public profiles you ask Salvo to analyse, with their public posts and statistics.

Shared clips: when you create a share link, the clips on it, and the names and comments of signed-in people who comment or vote on it.

Notifications: if you turn them on, the Discord webhook or email address we send them to.

Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your plan, subscription status and Stripe customer ID, never your card details. Token purchases are recorded in your token history.

Affiliates: if you join the affiliate program, your code, clicks on your link, the accounts you referred and what they paid, your commission balance and the payout method you give us.

Messages: what you send us through Contact us in the app.

Usage: which features you use (for example imports, renders, and AI calls with their token counts), sign-ins and basic request logs (route, status and timing), so we can keep the service running, enforce plan limits and improve it.

  3. 3.How we use it

To run Salvo for you: process your videos into clips, show you insights, and publish to the accounts you connect at the times you choose, with the settings you choose.

To show how your posts perform, by reading their statistics from the platform.

To bill you, pay affiliates, answer your messages and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your data, we do not use your content to advertise to anyone, and we do not use it to train AI models.

  4. 4.TikTok accounts

When you connect TikTok, Salvo requests access to your basic profile and profile details (to show which account you're posting to), your follower count, permission to publish videos you choose, and read access to the videos you post through Salvo (to show their views and likes).

Before each post, Salvo asks TikTok which privacy levels and interactions your account allows, and you choose who can view the video, whether others can comment, duet or stitch it, and whether it is promotional or branded content. Salvo never posts to TikTok with settings you didn't choose.

Your TikTok access token is stored encrypted and is only used to post the videos you schedule and to read the statistics of those posts. It is never shown to your browser or shared.

You can disconnect TikTok at any time from Fleet in Salvo, which deletes the stored token, or revoke Salvo's access from your TikTok app settings. Deleting your Salvo account also revokes Salvo's access at TikTok.

  5. 5.Who processes your data

Hosting and storage: our servers and database, and Cloudflare (R2 storage, plus a Cloudflare Worker that serves your media through short-lived signed links).

Transcription runs on our own servers: your audio is not sent to a third party to be transcribed.

AI providers, only for the features you use: Anthropic (Claude) receives transcript text and the instructions you type, to suggest clips, hooks, titles, B-roll and edits and to draw generated visuals; fal.ai receives your prompts to generate custom B-roll; ElevenLabs receives the text you want spoken for voice-overs. Stock footage searches go to Pixabay.

The social platforms you connect receive the videos, captions and settings you publish to them, and the sites you import from or analyse receive our requests for those videos and pages, under their own privacy policies.

Stripe processes payments. Google handles sign-in. Discord or our email provider deliver the notifications you turn on.

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Each only gets what it needs for its part of the service.

  6. 6.Cookies and local storage

A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. If you arrive through an affiliate link, a cookie and an entry in your browser's local storage remember the code for 60 days so the affiliate gets credit. Your browser also remembers small preferences, such as the theme.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Usage statistics are collected by Salvo itself.

The free editor runs entirely in your browser: the video you open in it is never uploaded. We only count anonymous usage of it (for example, that an export happened), with nothing that identifies you or your video.

  7. 7.Public pages

Share links you create are public pages that anyone with the link can see and that search engines may index. They show the clips you chose and, if you allow comments, the commenter's name. You can revoke a share link at any time, which takes the page down.

  8. 8.Security

Platform access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never sent to your browser. Sessions are stored as hashes. Media and data are only served to your signed-in account, except for share links you create on purpose and short-lived signed links a platform uses to fetch a video you are publishing.

  9. 9.Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your content and account data while your account is open. Deleting a project, clip, upload or asset removes it and its files, including from storage.

Disconnecting a social account deletes its stored token and any posts to it that haven't gone out yet. Posts already published stay on the platform; delete them there.

Request logs are deleted after 90 days.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. It cancels your subscription, revokes Salvo's access to your TikTok and YouTube accounts, and immediately deletes your account, projects, clips and all their media, connected accounts and their tokens, scheduled posts, share links (with their comments and votes), your comments and votes on other people's share links, your messages to us, your token balance and history, and your affiliate record with any unpaid balance.

What remains after that: payment records at Stripe that the law requires us to keep; usage statistics, which then carry only a random internal ID and no name or email; and, if an affiliate referred you, their commission records, without your name or email. Copies in our backups are overwritten on our normal backup cycle. Posts you published stay on the platforms until you delete them there.

  10. 10.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. You can see, change or delete most of it in the app; for anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Salvo is not intended for anyone under 16.

  11. 11.Contact

Email support@salvoclips.com, use Contact us in the account menu when signed in, or reach us on our Discord, linked at the bottom of this page.

  12. 12.Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way, we will tell you before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
